Flood of Customers in Japanese is 千客万来 which is read senkyaku banrai
千客万来 (senkyaku banrai): a flood of customers, a thousand guests coming ten thousand times, the wish a shop hangs at its door for a trade that never stops.
The thousand and the ten thousand are not counted but piled up, the way the dictionaries put it: many, and more. The phrase is Japanese, made out of Chinese parts by people who painted signs; no Chinese text has the four characters together. Its two oldest witnesses share the year 1811 and do not know each other.
Brushed for a new shop, the word goes back onto the door it was made for. four-character idiom senkyaku banrai is composed of the kanji 千 (read sen) meaning "thousand", 客 (read kyaku) meaning "customers", 万 (read ban) meaning "ten thousand" and 来 (read rai) meaning "visits". The term is used as a wish for "doing a roaring business" or for "a constant stream of customers".

About Our Scrolls
Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase brushes your scroll by hand when you order it. Each scroll bears her red seal, 英利, and her signature.
The scrolls are 12 1/4" W × 43" H (31 × 109 cm) with real silk borders and Japanese paper that are layered so the scroll hangs straight and will not warp over time. The scrolls themselves are made by Sankō (株式会社三幸) in Gifu prefecture, which has been making high quality scrolls since 1947, and we have worked with Sankō for over two decades.
Eri Takase was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and holds the rank of Shihan, the highest rank in Japanese calligraphy, from the Bokuteki-kai and the Bunka-shodo. About Master Takase
