Warrior Princess in Japanese is 王女戦士 which is read ōjo senshi
王女戦士 (ōjo senshi): a warrior who is a princess. 王女 (ōjo) is a king's daughter, an old word, and 戦士 (senshi) is a fighter, a soldier on the field and, in modern use, anyone who fights on the front line for a cause. Master Takase set the two words in the English order to render Warrior Princess, and a Japanese reader takes the compound the way 企業戦士, the corporate warrior, is taken: the second word is the head, so she is a warrior, and a princess is what kind of warrior she is. The order carries the sense; the same characters the other way round would make her a princess of warriors.
