未年 hitsujidoshi Year of the Sheep

The Japanese word 未年 meaning "Year of the Sheep" also meaning "Year of the Ram" and "Year of the Goat" is composed of the kanji 未 (read hitsuji) meaning "sign of the sheep (ram)" and 年 (read doshi) meaning "year". If you are looking for the animal "sheep" then consider using 羊 Sheep (hitsuji).
