Year of the Rat in Japanese Calligraphy — 10 Hand-Brushed Designs

子年 nezumidoshi Year of the Rat

The Japanese word 子年 meaning "Year of the Rat" is composed of the kanji 子 (read nezumi) meaning "sign of the rat" (though more commonly it means "child") and 年 (read doshi) meaning "year". If you are looking for a design for the cute little four-legged furry creature then consider using 鼠 Rat (nezumi).
