鼠 nezumi Rat

鼠 is a rat or a mouse: Japanese uses one word for both. The word is usually written in kana, ねずみ or ネズミ, and this design writes the character. As a color, nezumi is a slate gray. For the zodiac sign, the design is 子年, Year of the Rat (nezumidoshi).
