Pride and Joy

誇りと喜び (hokori to yorokobi)

The Japanese phrase 誇りと喜び is used in the same way as the English Pride and Joy as in "My son is my pride and joy". This is a combination of the words Pride (hokori) and Joy (yorokobi). The grammatical particle "to" is in hiragana and means "and".
