The Ground Becomes Firm After Rain in Japanese is 雨降って地固まる which is read ame futte ji katamaru

雨降って地固まる (ame futte ji katamaru): after rain, the ground sets firm. Something goes wrong between people or in a realm, and afterward the ground is firmer than before. The witnesses differ only in the size of the disturbance: a poets' quarrel of the 1620s, turned into a verse at the reconciliation party; a household's hard years in Saikaku; a war, in the telling of Ieyasu after Sekigahara; and in the dictionaries a disturbance of any size, with the quarrel kept at the center. After a storm comes a calm and an argument clears the air are its two English lives.

Eri Takase was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and holds the rank of Shihan, the highest rank in Japanese calligraphy, from the Bokuteki-kai and the Bunka-shodo. About Master Takase

The scrolls themselves are made by Sankō (株式会社三幸) in Gifu prefecture, which has been making high quality scrolls since 1947, and we have worked with Sankō for over two decades.
