賢明 kenmei Wise

The Japanese word kenmei also means "wisdom; intelligence; prudence" and is composed of the kanji 賢 (read ken) meaning "wise" and 明 (read mei) meaning "light". Dictionaries correctly give the translation for both kenmei and chie as "wisdom". In common Japanese usage though kenmei is more often translated as "wise" and chie as "wisdom" and so we have made this distinction here.
