奴隷 dorei Slave
More about 奴隷
奴隷 is a slave, a person denied rights and freedom and owned by another as property. It is also said of anyone ruled by one thing. 恋の奴隷 (koi no dorei) is a slave to love, and 金銭の奴隷 (kinsen no dorei) a slave to money. In older use it meant a servant.
The Japanese word 奴隷 meaning "Slave" is composed of the kanji 奴 (read do) meaning "slave; servant" and 隷 (read rei) also meaning "slave; servant".
About the Designs
Each design is Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase's hand-brushed calligraphy of the word or phrase on this page, delivered as a PDF you can print. Every PDF includes the line art, so a tattoo artist or a craftsperson can work from the outline as well as the brushed image. The line art prints sharp at any size. The brushed image is sized to print at the dimensions shown on the PDF, so for a larger piece, work from the line art.
