残心 zanshin Remaining Mind

残心 is a martial arts word. In archery it is the follow-through, the form held after the arrow leaves. Outside the dojo it can also mean a lingering attachment or regret.

The Japanese word 残心 meaning "Remaining Mind" is composed of the kanji 残 (read zan) meaning "remaining" and 心 (read shin) meaning "heart; mind; spirit".
