予言者 yogensha Prophet

予言者 is a prophet, a person who foretells the future. For a prophet of God, as in the Bible, the word is usually written 預言者, with 預 (entrust) in place of 予.

The Japanese word 予言者 meaning "Prophet" is composed of the word 予言 (read yogen) meaning "prediction; prophecy" and the kanji 者 (read sha) meaning "person".
