新生 shinsei New Life

新生 is rebirth: a life begun anew, as if born again. It can also mean a new birth. Two longer words grow from it: 新生活 (shinseikatsu), a new life or a fresh start, and 新生児 (shinseiji), a newborn baby.

The Japanese word 新生 meaning "New Life" is composed of the kanji 新 (read shin) meaning "new" and 生 (read sei) meaning "life; birth".
