忠義 chūgi Loyalty
More about 忠義
忠義 is loyalty, serving one's lord or one's country with a true heart and no thought of gain. Loyalty is one of the values of the Way of the Warrior (bushidō), the code of the samurai.
The Japanese word 忠義 meaning "Loyalty" is composed of the kanji 忠 (read chū) meaning "loyalty" and 義 (read gi) meaning "loyalty; righteousness".
