三人寄れば文殊の知恵 (sannin yoreba monju no chie) is a Japanese proverb, "when three people gather, the wisdom of Monju." Monju is Monju Bosatsu, the bodhisattva of wisdom. Alone we are ordinary; together we can reach wisdom worthy of Monju. It joins 三人 (sannin) "three people," 寄れば (yoreba) "when they gather," and 知恵 (chie) "wisdom."
