馬 uma Horse

The Japanese word uma translates as "horse; horses" and is a single kanji word. With the right context uma can refer to the "Year of the Horse". However, if you are looking for "Year of the Horse" as a stand-alone design and want no possible ambiguity then consider using Year of the Horse (umadoshi).
