蜂蜜 hachimitsu Honey

蜂蜜 is honey, made by bees. Honey wine, mead, is 蜂蜜酒 (hachimitsushu), and the color of honey is 蜂蜜色 (hachimitsuiro). It is often written in kana, はちみつ.

The Japanese word 蜂蜜 meaning "Honey" is composed of the kanji 蜂 (read hachi) meaning "bee; wasp; hornet" and 蜜 (read mitsu) meaning "honey; nectar; molasses".
