The Art of Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase

Gratitude

感謝 (kansha)

The Japanese word 感謝 means "Gratitude, Thanks" and is used informally in spoken Japanese as "Thank you". It is composed of the kanji (read kan) meaning "feeling; emotion; sensation" and (read sha) meaning "thank; apologize".

感謝 reminds us of all that we have in our lives for which we are grateful. The art would make a very special "thank you" gift.
