勇者は幸運に恵まれる yūsha wa kōun ni megumareru Fortune Favors The Brave

Fortune favors the brave: boldness moves fortune, and the brave get the luck. The Japanese says it as a statement about the brave, that they are blessed with good fortune, where the English makes Fortune the actor; it is a modern rendering made for the English line, plain and grammatical, with no older Japanese proverb under it, so these words say in Japanese what the title says. The Japanese tradition's own word on fortune before a charge is 運は天にあり, fortune is Heaven's, and it moves anyway; whether it is for the luck or for the boldness is yours.

The Japanese sentence is the English-Japanese dictionaries' rendering of the English proverb fortune favors the brave, in print by 1957, which itself translates a Latin proverb Cicero already called vetus proverbium, an old proverb, in 45 BC.
