永久 eikyū Forever

永久 is eternity and permanence: what lasts for all time. It also means permanent, as in 永久歯 (eikyūshi), a permanent tooth. Read towa, the same characters are a poetic word for eternity.

The Japanese word 永久 meaning "Forever" is composed of the kanji 永 (read ei) meaning "eternity; long; lengthy" and 久 (read kyū) meaning "long time; old story".
