花火 hanabi Fireworks

花火 is fireworks, from a big show in the sky to sparklers held in the hand. A fireworks show is 花火大会 (hanabi taikai), a summer event all over Japan.

The Japanese word 花火 meaning "Fireworks" is composed of the kanji 花 (read hana) meaning "flower" and 火 (read bi) meaning "fire".
