The Japanese word namidaame also means "Rain Falling When Sad" is composed of the kanji涙 (read namida) meaning "tears" and 雨 (read ame) meaning "rain".
Namidaame can also be used when talking about a very light rain which is in keeping with the melancholy nature of the word.
