勇気 yūki Courage

The Japanese word 勇気 meaning "Courage" also translates as "bravery; valor; boldness" and is composed of the kanji 勇 (read yū) meaning "courage; bravery" and 気 (read ki) meaning "spirit; mind".

Notice that there are two ways to write the kanji ki. The older form is 氣 and the new form is 気.
