征服 seifuku Conquer
More about 征服
征服 is conquest, beating an enemy by force and ruling over it. It also means getting the better of something hard, such as an illness or a mountain, or mastering a skill. To conquer is 征服する (seifuku suru).
The Japanese word 征服 meaning "Conquer" is composed of the kanji 征 (read sei) meaning "subjugate; attack the rebellious; collect taxes" and 服 (read fuku) meaning "clothing; admit; obey".
