傷心 shōshin Broken Heart

傷心 is heartbreak: a heart hurt by loss or sadness. A trip taken to get over it is 傷心旅行 (shōshin ryokō), a sentimental journey.

The Japanese word 傷心 meaning "Broken Heart" is composed of the kanji 傷 (read shō) meaning "wound, hurt, pain, injury" and 心 (read shin) meaning "heart, mind, spirit".
