The Art of Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase

Believer

信者 (shinja)

The Japanese word 信者 meaning "Believer" is composed of the kanji (read shin) meaning "trust; (religious) faith; truth; honesty; fidelity" and (read ja) meaning "person". This is commonly used to specifically mean "a Christian" though technically it means anyone of faith including, for example, Buddhists and Muslims.
