自分を信じる jibun wo shinjiru Believe in Oneself

自分 jibun is the reflexive, oneself, so the sentence is true for whoever reads it; を marks it as the object; 信じる shinjiru is to believe, in the one-step form the dictionary first cites from 1902. In the 1898 edition of Ozaki Kōyō's 金色夜叉, a jilted man tells Miya at Atami he had believed in her as much as in himself.

English and Japanese share the verb and the object here; the line adds nothing and loses nothing in either direction.
