冒険 is the common Japanese word for adventure, the one in 冒険旅行, an adventurous trip, and 冒険小説, an adventure story. Worn as a tattoo, it says you are ready for the next journey.

More about 冒険
冒険 is an adventure, a venture into the unknown. The same word also means a risky attempt, one that may well fail. An adventurer is 冒険家 (bōkenka), and a spirit of adventure is 冒険心 (bōkenshin).
The Japanese word 冒険 meaning "Adventure" is composed of the kanji 冒 (read bō) meaning "risk; defy; dare" and 険 (read ken) meaning "precipitous; steep place; dangerous".
