適応 tekiō Adaptable

適応 is adaptation, adjusting to a new place or a new situation. It can also be a verb, to adapt. Being adaptable, the quality itself, is 適応性 (tekiōsei).

The Japanese word 適応 meaning "Adaptable" is composed of the kanji 適 (read teki) meaning "suitable; capable; qualified" and 応 (read ō) meaning "apply; reply; accept".
